Music-meets-Science Residency at the HUB Houston
I designed and taught six hands-on lesson plans that integrated music into the science curriculum (Fall 2023) with DACAMERA and the HUB Houston: an educational organization that serves Houston's neurodiverse community.
Our lessons at the HUB employed sound and music as educational tools to explore a variety of different science topics including sound, sound energy, the music of our heartbeats, echolocation, whale and birdsongs, and sound engineering.
Each lesson integrated classroom presentations with hands-on activities, culminating in a two week session where each student designed, constructed, and played their own flute made out of PVC pipe!
Synth-esthesia
I invented, designed and built Synth-esthesia: a dynamic color wheel musical instrument that maps colors to pitches using rotating color sensors. (Spring 2022)
